I think that this is a great trend for onsite food service, as the nation grows more health conscious and as we combat the rise in diabetes and heart disease, coming up with quick nutritious meals is something that will work out nicely for the industry. It also nice to see that even in the medical industry we are trying to increase the flavor profile in hospital and schhol food
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to the article about Luby’s Culinary Service in food is a great idea. I just finish doing a paper on this article about this company in my on-site foodservice class. This is what today’s people are looking for. They want fast-food that’s healthy at the same time. And with Luby’s only be 600 calories a meal this is they way to go.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great trend because it focuses on the #1 issue in foodservice in America: Obesity. I also did an article on the cohice of healthier options and just finished doing an assignment on healthier foods in schools. This is an issue that is getting much attention and it is definitely a trend that will stay until all people are healhier in America.
